I would love to have vending, but the boss isn't convinced. What can I say to justify the increased costs?

• Firstly, do not assume your costs will be greater!
• Machine costs start from as little as £1 per day - it is often the case that having vending is cheaper that making your own drinks ( particularly when you take into account the costs of staff time making drinks, buying ingredients, and washing up).  Some employers even make a small charge to ensure costs do not increase
• Get your manager to look at the kitchen area (or where you make drinks )after the least tidy member of staff has just made a drink - does it really look professional?
• Tell your manager how you will be better able to use your time without having responsibility for drinks - catch up with admin and filing, sort those back-burner issues out
• Explain how much more variety he/she could enjoy in the drinks choice - chocolate, soup, cold drinks on hot days...even carbonated drinks!
• Point out that it would be easier to offer drinks to customers and visitors - even if you're away from the office

I'm just not sure vending would work. Is there an option to try before we commit ourselves?

• We would be delighted to provide you with a free trial machine to help you decide if vending is the right route for you. A brief visit from one of our representatives is all that's required to establish which machine would be the most appropriate to trial!

We may be interested in vending, but the last thing I need is an aggressive, sale hungry rep coming in and giving me a pressure sell. How would you describe your sales process?

• We aim to prove to all prospective customers from the outset that we are vending professionals in every way.
• We also acknowledge that needs change, and whilst you may not be yet ready for vending, the time may well arrive when you are - and we'd love to be invited back in to quote for your business! (and if you still don't believe us, see our customer feedback page!)

We have been turned down by third party leasing companies before as we haven't been trading for long. How can you overcome this?

• Unfortunately and often through no fault of their own, smaller, newly established businesses do occasionally not meet leasing requirements. What plumbing arrangements are required to install a vending machine, and who is responsible for these?

• Although we do have some tank-filled, smaller volume models, most of our drinks machines require plumbing, and our sales representatives can advise on where best to site the machine. The installation can only take place once suitable plumbing arrangements have been made by yourself. Insurance requirements prevent us from doing this on your behalf, however, where possible we can recommend suitable plumbers in your area.

Do I have to sign a contract and for how long? I don't like the idea of being committed to long term contracts.

• Our contract with you is designed to explain clearly what each of us has committed to do, and for how long. It is an essential feature of any of our business relationships.

Vending machines just break down constantly in my experience. I want reliable solutions!
