Several of our suppliers believe that producing great tasting coffee and teas is about more than expertise, experience and having an eye for the pick of the crop. It´s also about securing the long-term health of the coffee and tea trade by helping coffee growing communities build a better future.
Kenco launched their Sustainable Development range of coffees several years ago, and now is committed to blending Rainforest Alliance certified.™ coffee into its other major brands such as Kenco and Maxwell House. Suchards hot chocolate is already made from 100% certified sources, and PG Tips already blends more than 50% of its tea from Rainforest Alliance certified.™ farms, and is looking to be fully certified by 2010.
As consumers increasingly seek out sustainable development products, and make choices based on ethical and environmental grounds, we expect other suppliers to also increase their ranges of rainforest alliance certified products :
