Environmentally aware vending — EnergyCare®, our Echo Range and S
RSL promotes environmentally aware vending, within the framework of value for money solutions. Refurbished vending machines — our Echo range - and EnergyCare® both offer significant cost savings whilst providing environmental benefits.
Environmentally-aware vending satisfies two very distinct needs: firstly, it reduces the impact on the environment of vending, and secondly, measures usally result in a cost reduction to the customer.
The specific areas where we feel customers can easily achieve both these aims are:

- using our EnergyCare® device - fitted as standard on all new installations.
Our Echo Range is for the customer who is looking for the optimum balance between quality, reliability and cost-effectiveness, but also wanting to adopt environmentally aware vending practices. These professionally refurbished vending machines are remanufactured to such high standards that they are both visually and operationally “as new”. The warranty and operating contracts are identical to those supplied with new machines — so confident are we in their reliability.
EnergyCare® - a small energy saving system, pioneered by Refreshment Systems Ltd, allows customers interested in environmentally aware vending to satisfy their ethical values whilst at the same time saving significant sums — up to £200 per machine per year. The device also reduces the carbon footprint of any operated service, by reducing CO2 emissions greatly. This device detects movement near vending machines. After a time interval (determined in advance by the customer), during which no motion is sensed, it powers down the machines. It then switches them back on again when movement is detected.
Although offering no cost saving, we encourage customers to use the Save-a-cup scheme, whereby all cups — now both paper and plastic — are able to be recycled.
All our water coolers are point of use to reduce transportation costs, unnecessary waste and save customers money.
