Choosing
What to think about before you order
Confectionery works best when the range gives people a reason to choose rather than simply offering the biggest brands. A mix of chocolate bars, countlines, sweets and other formats gives customers different price points and portion sizes, while keeping the machine useful throughout the day.
Pack size matters in a vending machine. Standard bars suit an everyday purchase, while larger or sharing formats can work where customers are looking for something more substantial. Consider the audience, location and typical purchase time when deciding how much space each format gets.
Stock rotation is particularly important with chocolate. Warm locations can affect product quality, while slower sites can leave popular-looking lines sitting in the machine for too long. A sensible range with regular rotation is usually better than filling every available facing with products that do not move consistently.
